Why do you hang onto that old thing? Because you know you’ll need it? Or because you might possibly find a chance to use it, just in case?

That thing could be a book, a gadget, a garment, or even a relationship. Clutter of one kind or another that you only remember when it gets in the way. If you can forget it so easily, how likely are you to remember it when you need it, or even know where it ended up?

Clutter keeps us from seeing what we already have. How many times have you thought you ran out of or lost something essential when it was waiting for you behind a wall of cruft? Ask yourself: How much more room could you free up for what you truly want?
