A growing list of things you won’t realize you’ll need until you’ve forgotten them.

If you want to save yourself loads of trouble over the years, start writing these down now.

• Every address you’ve ever lived in, even briefly. This will come up in credit checks and background checks.
• Current contact info for every manager you’ve worked under. This will come up in job applications and background checks.
• Every place where you’ve used your current address, i.e. every place where you will need to update that address when you inevitably move.
